That's the catch. Better you hear it now than after someone interesting messages you.

Messaging is the part that costs. Say a woman a few towns over likes your profile and sends you a message. If she's a VIP member, it'll open on your free account. If she's on a free account too, you'd need to upgrade to read it.

There's a side benefit. Spam accounts depend on messaging huge numbers of people for nothing, and a paid step for messaging gets in their way.

For most people, VIP is the one that matters, because it's what lets you talk to anyone. VIP Plus is for when you want your profile and messages seen first.

VIP renews on the schedule of the package you choose, and the renewal details are shown in your account before you pay. You can cancel whenever you want through Help & Support, using the chat with the support team. If you paid with PayPal, cancel in PayPal as well.
Your card details are only asked for on the payment page when you upgrade. A free account never needs them.

No. Joining and using a Classic account never asks for payment details. You only enter them if you choose to upgrade.
Go to Help & Support and use the chat to ask the support team to cancel. If you paid through PayPal, cancel the payment in PayPal too.
Some banks run extra checks on payments to adult sites. After too many attempts in a row, payments are paused for 24 hours as a fraud check. Try again later, try another payment method, or ask support.
